Fragrantica
Written by Tara Derakshan
After my article about sniffing fragrances on the beaches of Greece was published, I was contacted by NEH, a fragrance brand focusing on the wellness and mindfulness side of fragrances.
Although the theme of mindfulness and self-discovery in fragrance creation is not new, it remains exciting and pleasant. I have a strong interest in exploring new things. Wellness-focused fragrances are more than perfumes. They are islands of serenity, in my opinion.
I agree that a rising number of fragrance lovers want more than simply cosmetic upgrades, forcing the beauty and fragrance business to change. Modern customers want products that improve their physical, emotional, and psychological health. Their holistic health goal is to feel well overall, not simply look and smell beautiful.
NEH is a perfume house where master perfumery meets mindfulness – a carefully curated scent experience that transcends the physical and connects wearers with their intuition through the sense of smell. Inspired by the transformative power of scent, NEH invites you on a journey back to wholeness. Our house is deeply rooted in personal healing and the desire to infuse your everyday life with practices aligning with your highest self. - note from the brand
I had the opportunity to talk to Tara Derakshan, the founder of the brand who also invited me to their Scent & Sound Ceremony, which is a core part of the NEH experience. It’s where they bring the fragrances to life through ritual, meditation, and sound frequencies. Tara extended the invitation to the Fragrantica readers to join the next one on October 21.
